Piercing GUIDE

EARLOBE | EARLOBES | STACKED LOBE/CONSTELLATION

Lobe piercings are located on the soft tissue on the lower part of the ear. They’re a perfect first piercing (or second, or third) before you venture into the exquisite realm of cartilage piercings. Lobe piercings are always fun because we can play around with placement and there is room to experiment with placements(constellation/stacked lobe). Whether you’re into matching paired lobes, stacked lobes, or just one lobe they’re always a classic.

Constellation piercing also known as a stacked lobe is a super cute accented piercing that adds a extra pop!

lower helix | mid helix | helix

Helix piercings go through the outer cartilage of the ear near the rim, they are usually placed in the top of the ear however they can stack down the curve of the ear to the lobe. The piercing can be done in different locations along the helix, such as the upper helix, mid-helix, or lower helix. Helix piercings are also popularly known just as the cartilage piercing.

forward helix

The forward helix is located on the outer rim of the ear cartilage, right in front of where your rook piercing would be. Think of where your glasses sit or where you tuck your hair behind your ears, that’s the spot! Adding a forward helix can add some edge to your look and its perfect for adding some subtle bling to your ear curation if your missing a spot! This is one of those anatomy dependent piercings so if your ear allows it ask about a double forward helix!

Rook

Rook piercings are tucked in the top of the inner ear cartilage next to or behind the forward helix. They are pierced with curved barbells but once healed you can put a hoop or a jazzy chain to give it that extra oomph!

faux Rook

A faux rook piercing is in the upper ear that gives the piercing a floating look in the ear, similar to the flat. Instead of mimicking the look of a curved barbell, it enters the front of the ear and exits the back. Faux rook piercings are often chosen by people who want the look of a rook piercing and or doesn’t have the right anatomy for a traditional rook.

DAith

Daith piercings rest in the inner cartilage piece of your ear, above the ear canal and below the rook. Some say this piercing is the disapearing migraine piercing but there is no scientific proof behind this theory, but you can always try anyway!

Tragus

Tragus piercings are located in the small protruding cartilage attached to the face, extending over the ear canal. A perfect option if you’re looking to add a touch of glam to your ears! Very popular for a extra pop but not to much if your looking for subtle!

CONCH

Conch piercings are by far one of the most popular and growing piercings! The conch piercing is placed in the inner cartilage of the ear and is initially pierced with a stud. Conches are a centerpiece and once healed you can out a hoop in for a perfect centered look!

flat

Flat piercings are located in the flat cartilage area in the top center part of your ear between your rook piercing and helix piercings. This piercing is an essential addition to any ear! It is a true statement piece with its location and can really be the perfect addition!

nostril | double nostril

A nostril piercing is the piercing that goes through the soft cartilage of the upper curve of the nostril's side. It can be placed in many locations, including the dimple, but the most common place is where you can feel a crease above the flare of your nostril. We DO NOT pierce the initial piercing with a hoop as this will cause many issues while healing. Once healed then we can put in a hoop!
